RAW  SUGAR

This sugar also called as brown sugar because have light or dark brown color. Color scale ICUMSA 600-1200. To make white sugar, sulfur dioxide is added to melted raw sugar before it gets evaporated. This gas does decoloring of the juice so that it does not turn brown. At later stages of process, phosphoric acid, calcium hydroxide or carbon dioxide is added to remove impurities. After it this juice will filtered and crystallized in a vacuum . Finally the crystals must be dryed. Output sugar color ICUMSA 45

RAW SUGAR REFINERY TECHNOLOGY

This technology is mainly for the sugar production of from semi-manufactured cane sugar but is also used in all sugar factories for sugar extraction from sugar beet and corn.
